'Gronk and the Body Doubles' tickle the Underbelly
Things seem to be gathering pace as we emerge shivering from winter. Having finally christened the band "Gronk and the Body Doubles", we played our first gig of the year at the Underbelly in Hoxton Square - click here to view a video of us playing new band song 'The Empty Quarter' - and are limbering up to play a marathon two-hour show at the Fox and Duck in Richmond.
In other news, we have successfully passed the registration process for the Emerging Talent Awards 2010, in association with RockFeedback: we are up for awards in the Best New Act and Best Live Act categories, and the prizes up for grabs include the chance to play the Camden Crawl on May 1st and 2nd.
These things are based on votes, so please do spare a minute to vote for us by clicking here!
In other, more annoying news, my brand new hard drive died on me after six months, which means I may well have permanently lost all the work I had done on the planned follow-up to 'The Long Way Round'. It was an ambient record with the working title 'Crescendo', but it probably wasn't that good anyway; I'm planning to create a 'Demos and Oddities' page on the site at some point so the rough mixes will end up there.
Finally, watch this space for news on the Gronk subscription offer, which I am currently finalising and will announce at the end of the month. Cheers all!
