Out with the old, in with the new

An exciting week lies ahead: I'm flying to New York to attend the CMJ Music Marathon, a music industry festival which comprises a series of seminars at Greenwich University during the day, and performances by hundreds of bands all over the Big Apple by night. I'm going out with a bunch of promo CDs to meet every music biz person I possibly can!

First there is the small matter of Saturday night's gig at the Water Rats, which will hopefully be a success; and mastering the new album for release on this site. It's sounding pretty much as good as it's ever going to sound now - I just hope that I've been able to keep an objective eye on the bass/treble balance. Certainly the last mixes I played back had me tapping my foot again, just as I thought I had listened to the tracks one (million) too many times.

Finally, I'd like to thank Chris for the site reskin - it's looking really great Chris! And my long-suffering band continues to sound incredible, but I'm looking forward to penning a few new songs in New York to bring back with me ...
